We were upgraded - at no extra cost - to a smart, new Mercedes C220, which was a joy to drive and had a very useful satnav system. The collection and return procedures were very quick. only complaint was that there was no car available in the group we booked. instead they "upgraded" us to a very large estate car which was both difficult to park and had higher petrol consumption.

The only problem we encountered was the flight was early and we were not aware of the procedure to collect the car. We were fortunate to have a native speaking family member who managed to get the matter sorted. We were however delighted with the system and impressed with the service. We would think seriously about using them again in September

I don't like having to pay for a full tank and bring the car back empty. Vitoria Car Hire insisted on this. Other companies I have used in the past have been happy with full to full, in which I pay for a full tank at the start then receive a refund if I return the car with a full tank. The problem is, I am unlikely to use the full tank in the time allocated. In this case I hired for 12 days and didn't need to top up. If I'd hired for a week I would have returned the car with the tank nearly half full. I wouldn't hire from Victoria Car Hire again for this reason

Good service from Hertz at Sofia airport, but it would be helpful if some company was prepared to give you a car in Sofia and take it back somewhere else e.g. Veliko Tarnovo. They should be able to provide someone to do the bus trip and the drive (perhaps for a fee) and not insist that the client wastes his time

I only used a quarter tank of fuel but I had to take the car back empty. In England you take the car back full, so you only pay for the fuel you have used.

Was a bit disapointed to find that the Car Hire company was not on the airport and we had a 20min drive in the rush hour in the opposite direction from where we wanted to go to collect the car. At the end of the hire we did get to drop the car off at the airport but we had to ask for this service. This also meant that we did not get sign off on the hire so if the car was damaged between us dropping off and the hire company collecting we could have been liable. A small chance I know but it does leave one feeling uncomfortable. That having been said the hire company were very efficient and polite and the car provided was of good quality.

Renting the car was not a problem everything went smoothly. I do recommend that you check the cars more thoroughly in the future after 30 minutes of driving and over half way to my destination i realised that the rear suspension was broken and was making strange noises when cornering. This kind of problem should really be noticed before renting the car out to new customers. It did not cause any great problems however i did have to be careful whilst driving Apart from that a great service.

I was very happy and satisfied with my initial request for a rental car. Your website is logical and easy to use.
However, your www.arguscarrental.com site does not allow the switch from Ireland to the USA making it difficult to find the right portal for making a reservation in the US.
Also, it is very difficult to make a change to an existing reservation. It would be nice to be able to go to your website, put in a reservation number and make the necessary change right there.

Everything went very well. Very pleased with the ease at which I was able to book online and have the car ready at the other end.
With regards to Derry Airport, the only things that could be improved is better signs to direct you to the drop off point when you return the car, as I didn't see any 'Car Hire Return' signs at all until I had found the compound itself.
Also, it wasn't immediately clear where to hand the keys in as all car hire desks were unmanned when we arrived at the airport for our return flight.
Otherwise, a great value for money short-term car rental, and I would use Argus/Europcar again when flying into Derry Airport.

I don't know whether you operate a delivery service to addresses around Dublin (it can be a bit of a pain getting over to Rathgar, especially when I require a car at short notice) but if you don't, you may like to consider this option. Apart from this, I have to say your service (and your Rathgar staff) are first-rate.

I'm not sure which rental this is for - we had an eight-day rental originating in Milan and a one-day rental in Sicily. Both rentals were handled very well. The one out of Milan did take a while at the rental counter but that's really an issue for the rental company. The one in Sicily was handled quickly and efficiently. No problems with either rental.

I was very happy with the service at Pisa airport, staff were most pleasant. I hired an automatic Mercedes C220 cdi which was a pleasure to drive. They told me I did not have to leave the car back with a full tank as I was entitled to a waiver on this...... I left it quarter full which saved me about forty euro. It was hired from Alamo. Thank you and I look forward to doing business with you again.
